Mercedes-Benz 1979 450SL Roadster

Produced from 1973 until 1980, the 450SL features the 4.5-litre V-8 engine offering a top speed of 135 mph, and presents a harmonious courtship of understated prestige with sporty flamboyance.  In fact, the R107 roadster body style represents the second longest single series ever produced by the automaker, after the G-Class.
This CA version car (494) was completed in December 1979 and sold February 1980 by Mission Viejo Imports to its first owner who kept the car at their Camarillo residence until 2013. Finished in Black paint (040) with coat preservation (524) over Palomino leather (234), it retains the original black hardtop (416) and 'Toile de Capote' 9001 (black folding soft top: (740)).  Other options as shown on the Data Card are: Becker Mexico AM/FM Radio w/ Cassette (518), automatic antenna (531), central locking system (467), automatic climate control & electric windows (587), automatic green heat-insulated glass/laminated safety glass/tinted strip (592), 15-hole light alloy rims (640), and elimination of first aid kit & warning triangle (639).  Instead, the rear compartment features rare and desirable permanent fold down seats.
It  comes with original tools, handbook, service book, data card, spare tire, extra Mercedes-Benz floor mats, complete service records, hard top stand and pulley mechanism for single person hard top removal.
This SL has been impeccably maintained with over $8000 spent recently on a full service, AC conversion to 134A , new AC condenser, new muffler, new tires, new battery, and transmission and radiator flush.  It is virtually blemish free and has superb mechanics. This car is comparable to the white 450SL we currently have for sale with only 12k miles.
This stunning car is ready to go!  $26,000 obo
