On July 18,1969, this exceptional example was shipped to the United States, where it was delivered to Economy Cars Ltd. in North Kansas City, Missouri on September 25th, 1969. The retail price listed on the window sticker was $3,341.

The car would remain stored with the original BMC dealer for the next 39 years until it was purchased by its first owner in 2008 with only 148 registered miles on the odometer! After a short time with the original purchaser, the Sprite went through a handful of documented owners.

In 2014, the car received some maintenance as needed which included: new tires, new suspension bushings, a new fuel pump, and the replacement of a few other small worn odds and ends. Today the odometer is currently showing just 4,234 documented miles.

Accompanying this Sprite is an impressive file documenting the car's history from new, such as: books, binders, memorabilia, a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate, and a stack of original documents.
