Widely considered one of the most aesthetically pleasing sporting cars of the 1930s, the SS100 is also very rare with only 198 2.5-litre and 116 3.5-litre models made. The Jaguar SS100 was the first of William Lyons' cars to carry the Jaguar name, although at the time it was just a nameplate and would not become the corporation's brand name until after World War II. More importantly, the car elevated the parent company from relative obscurity to a purveyor of some of the most stirring sports cars of the entire 20th century.

This is a very unique opportunity to own one of the rarest and most sought-after Jaguars in the world. This car just came out of long-term storage here in California where it had been in the same owner's garage since 1957. This is one of the last 3 1/2-liter, unrestored SS100 Jaguars in the world. It's matching-numbers and comes with all history from new. As you can see in the photos, the body has been stripped to bare alloy and is in amazing condition. This SS100 was sold new on February 8th to H.E. Braley of England, and its original color was maroon exterior with maroon interior. We have a Jaguar heritage certificate as well as a magazine article on the car from July 2010 listing all history from new, as well as providing known race history.
The car car has been brought back to a good running and driving standard.
